Meet the Team
Sally Chisholm, Chief Executive Officer
Sally began her NHS career working in diagnostic radiography both within acute care and then in Cambridge and Manchester Universities Imaging Research Departments. An Information Technology degree led to a return to the NHS in information and IT services including work with primary care to support GP Fundholding & Commissioning. In 2010 Sally was awarded an MBA (Open).
Sally held a number of commissioning roles including joint posts with social care before spending two years working in Children's services at Manchester City Council. Four years as Director of the Cardiac and Stroke Network in Lancashire and Cumbria exposed her to cross organisational collaboration, service re-design and a focus upon delivering innovation and improving quality.
Sally became Chief Executive of the NHS Technology Adoption Centre in May 2010.
Jennifer Watts, Performance and Operations Manager
Jennifer joined NTAC in June 2011 having been Director of the Cardiac, Stroke and Vascular Network in Lancashire and Cumbria.
With 25 years NHS experience, Jennifer has worked as a senior nurse and has a vast and varied experience at managing and leading change within the NHS. She is trained in many techniques to facilitate this process and has worked effectively at local, regional and national levels, both with clinicians, commissioners and senior NHS management. Jennifer is an experienced Project and Programme Manager who has a reputation for delivering large projects on time and within budget.
Beth Baines, Technology Implementation Manager
Beth has joined NTAC from a previous clinical and managerial background within primary care and critical care environments. Throughout her career she has developed a keen, enthusiastic and proactive approach to improving patient experiences and outcomes, through implementing and facilitating change within the NHS. Her previous experience has involved introducing routine antenatal care from the health visiting service and the introduction of computerised records to Children's Services.
Stephen Hodges, Technology Implementation Manager
Stephen Hodges has gained a great width and depth of knowledge having worked within the NHS for 20 years. His background is in critical care nursing but he has also held research, managerial and public health roles. Stephen has successfully led government funded research and his recent project work has been used by the RCN and HSE as an example of good practice. Stephen has recently returned to work in Manchester after spending 10 years working for the NHS in Scotland.
Kevin has been with NTAC since October 2009. Initially employed as a Data Manager on the Showcase Hospitals Healthcare Associated Infections Programme, Kevin then stepped up to manage the Programme in November 2010 through to it's conclusion in August 2011. Kevin has been involved in data management and analysis since 2003 and has experience in fields such as regeneration, education and training and healthcare.
Lee Panter, Technology Implementation Manager
Lee began his career in the NHS in a clinical capacity as an Exercise Physiologist in the field of cardiovascular rehabilitation. However, his interest in change management and service redesign led him into working in a project management capacity across the North West of England, working with a range of primary, secondary and tertiary care organisations in facilitating change within a range of clinical pathways. As well as having experience of working operationally within an acute setting, Lee has also worked at a National level supporting the Department of Health in implementing the National Audit of Cardiac Rehabilitation within the 31 cardiac networks across England.
More recently and prior to joining NTAC, Lee worked in a commissioning capacity for NHS Knowsley and was responsible for the successful procurement, implementation and commissioning of various public health and primary care services.
Dal Tambar, Technology Implementation Manager
Dal began his NHS career in 2004 in the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory of the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. Since that time he has completed the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme and has held a number of roles in both acute and primary care, most recently as a project manager at Central Manchester University Hospitals.
Dal has a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Sheffield and is currently working towards his Masters in Health and Public Leadership at Manchester Business School. Dal joined NTAC in 2011 and his current projects include intra-operative sentinel lymph node assay, ECG telemedicine, and Calprotectin testing in the diagnosis of IBS and IBD.
Joanne Twissell, Business and Events Manager
Joanne Twissell joined the NTAC team after working for eight years for the Cardiac and Stroke Networks in Lancashire and Cumbria; she started in her role as the Business & Events Manager in September 2011
Joanne provides administrative support to the team, managing the everyday functions of the office, including general secretarial duties, arranging meetings, taking notes and transcribing Minutes; monitoring the budgets and she also supports the team's ongoing projects.
